How wide is your broadhead?

How wide is your broadhead?   How do you like it?

We've been shooting 150 grain Boltcutters, one of the smallest broadheads on the market, for the past 5 years and have been very happy with the results.  They fly like darts and blow through bone like it's butter.  Between the kids and I, we have killed a lot of deer and haven't had a single one make it more than 50 yards.  They are only 1  1/16" wide but they hold a shaving sharp edge and leave an incredible blood trail.

What do you shoot and how do you like it?

Cool pic. I used to use a similar Broadhead design but switched after I lost a good buck using it. My impression after following the blood trail was that there simply was not enough of a blood trail and the deer didn't have enough internal damage to bleed out quickly. Could shot placement and patience have helped improve the outcome? Probably. But was still enough to scare me off of that type of broadhead. Now I use the NAP 2 blade mechanical and have been impressed with the performance.

@Rusty when you say boltcutters, do you mean Excalibur Boltcutters 150gr? If so, my dad and I only use them for xbow. Never tried anything else since they work so good. First pic is a lung shot from 2016 buck I shot with them broadside from the ground. The pics 2-4 is a buck I shot frontal with them from the ground and came out back hip. Both bucks died  in sight and went less than 10 yards each. I haven’t used the xbow since that 2019 buck.

for the compound I use slicktrick standard. Liver/lung shot buck from 2022 (last 2 pics). This deer died in sight but made it about 50yds. I was in a treestand for this one.

Yes.   They are great heads and they fly like field points.

for which setup?? lol.... trad setup i use cut on contact Magnus Stingers which are just over 1" diameter.  I've used many heads but a vast majority have died from 2-blade Rage broadheads since they came out in 2006 and all variations i've stuck with have all been 2" cut which ends up being a little bigger than that for the entrance and exit. i've never kept track and back in the day never realized the importance of reporting deer for data purposes even if i didn't take any without a tag. if i was to guess i've probably killed around 30 deer with them. in the past several years I've been involved with QDM co-ops that get additional DMAP tags which makes it a little easier being in a WMU that don't give antlerless tags out like candy compared to ones in WNY.

I’ve gone to the QAD exodus 1.25 cut , I have not shot a deer with one yet . But just do a Google search and these heads leave huge holesand are as tough as they come .
