Was trimming a lawn today and I looked down just as this creature was slithering over my boot..  might as well have been a black mamba.

How dead is it now?  Lol.

Let's just say it's very lucky it was only a foot long.

Thank you Mowin!!!!    :kissy:

It’s hard to tell from the picture but it looks like a juvenile Black snake.    Harmless and beneficial.

Never could figure out how a grown azz man can be afraid of snakes. 🤔

Not really afraid, just don't like them.  I choose to keep my distance, but every once in a while, our paths cross.

My cousin is genuinely afraid of spiders. He crashed a truck once because one was crawling up his chest...

I was expecting another picture showing the snake with with either a crushed head from Mowin giving it the boot stomp or it all sliced up after going through the mower blades  LOL

Trust me, the only reason I didn't hit it full throttle with the trimmer was because I instinctively flung it off my foot and it landed about 8' away.  I swear I heard so idiots voice telling me not to kill it.

Well I thank you again!!!   :kissy:

This is what I usually get, in fact this was texted to me yesterday.   “What kind of snake?  Is it poisonous”?

To which I respond, “No it’s dead”!   :shakehead:

I see that a lot...

While mowing, I often don't know I hit a snake until the next pass.
