Same. Put after plowing I decided I'd do a sneak thru some tree tops with no luck. I know it's a long season but seeing no deer is getting frustrating

I can’t believe I use to sit outside dark to dark in this type weather. Now I’m 13’ up in a heated tower. The sun is beating on my face and it’s picture perfect outside. Only thing missing is a deer and some red snow. I’m kinda sad I’m done hunting at 11 today.

I stayed in too but a call from the neighbors had me check the pines in my pasture. He said a nice buck was laying there, turns out it was a doe with two young ones. They got a pass today with one hanging in my shed.

Not going out again today,I feel pretty content right now.

Stayed in too.  Winds gusting to 40 and no nice blind to get into.   Forecast for up to a foot of snow and its starting now.  A good breakfast and got snow gear ready.  But of course guy that owns land that I hunt sends me a text, two does in the field right now.  Lol

Did a dark to dark sit yesterday. This morning I bailed by 9:30 as the wind driven snow made it laughable. Glad I have the gear to hang, but the deer were bedded here and nobody was out moving them around. If the wind lays down some, I’ll sneak in for the last hour or two of light this evening.

Yesterday's sit combined with the sweat lodge in the afternoon knocked the hell out of me. Went to bed at nine.

Hit a ridge at 6:00 am but the cold and the flurries sent me home in a few hours feeling sick. Got a text from a guy in the FD to say that the older guy on my road died last night. I passed him on Wed but didn't stop to chat as I was pressed for time.

RIP Ritchie.
