What do you use for Digital Media storage?

So Google account/phone is close to full. I've got an old external storage drive downstairs with more pictures, videos, etc. I've got SD cards with stuff on them. I've got files on the network at the office. I've got files on my wife's laptop. I've also got files on my work computer at home.

Thinking flash memory like redundant thumb drives in the fire proof safe, but it'll be more expensive for devices and if I don't power them up/use them every 5 years or so the data could get erased. Also it's not easily accessible. Thinking about a NAS tied to my WIFI router. Redundant drives for terabytes worth long lasting memory, but it's also a single device that'd be in a spot to burn up if in a house fire. Paying monthly for cloud storage is probably best option despite you'll inevitably need more and pay more indefinitely.

So what's everyone doing to store old trail cam pics, hunting photos, videos, family vacation photos, realestate files, etc.?

Really depends on what you're trying to store and how safe/secure/private you want it and how much risk you are willing to take with localizing it and potentially losing it to a fire, etc (i.e. at your home even with redundant drives).

For me, I use Dropbox for a lot of my stuff.  2TB of data is enough for me there.

@nywaw yea i'm no politican so my stuff isn't that secret. lol firearm serial numbers and photos for insurance claims is always kickin around in the back of my head that I probably don't want Google or some possibly liberal company to have access to. probably over thinking it a bit as an right wing engineer living in NY state, but i really just don't want the effort of going down a path to change it later.

I get it, those things are some of the balance.  You can also get physical redundancy with a safety deposit box (which I don't know how much to trust either depending on where it is, who owns it, who manages it, etc).
