Poults

Saw the first poults of the year this morning. They looked no more than a week old. Just 2 of them and their mom. It rained hard here yesterday, I wonder if some got wiped out?

Anyone seeing any ?

I've been seeing quite a few hens out in the fields. Hopefully there's some poults in the tall grass.

im guessing mourning dove...someone else guessed oriole.

Hen today while i was sparying corn  with 8 to 10..   i also have another  on cam with a dozen.

A couple weeks ago, around the corner from our place, in WMU 9F.  She had 9 or 10, about the size of robins.

I've only seen one poult in my area.  Very small.  Talked to my brother in Central VT and he's seen a couple dozen poults.  There's lots more coyotes in that area, but more raccoons in my area.

Seen these 3 ladies with a crap load of poults in my neighbors yard.  There was probably 25 total. Most were the size of a grouse, but several were quite small.

I have seen no Poults yet. My area has an abundance  of Hens.  Should be soon.

Very odd, because you should be ahead of me as far as hatching goes.
