So what's it worth? What would you do?

Friend is looking to sell a savage model 10 in 308. It maybe has 10 rounds through it, in VGC.  Here the catch.  He's got a Leopold mk4 6.5x20x50 on top. Side focus, m5 BDC turrets, in matte black . I know the glass is worth probably triple the rifle.  Would it make sense to separate the two?  I'm seeing the glass going for $1500-1900 used with rings.

Take the glass  off..  everyone  assumes the scope is shot no matter the brand. . Then sell seperate  or seperate to buyer of gun after he can look at it..

I think I'm going to tell him to sign up for a gun broker account and sell them separately.  He looking for around 2k for the package.

I was going to suggest 2k for package ,but he could possibly 1500 plus for scope on GB. People are getting crazy money for guns and scopes that look like they came out of the ocean . If it's clean with no marks he should get top doller

Put a cheap scope on the rifle and sell it like that then sell the scope separately.

I thought of that.  I'll mention it to the owner and see if he has any other glass laying around.

Had the same scope, definitely  sell seperate. Even if you have to buy a cheap Tasco to put on the rifle.

I agree with others. Someone might want one or the other. Separate them and sell them both.
