JohnPlav Posted July 9, 2023 Posted July 9, 2023 (edited) What do you guys think? Of course this is the only cam not set to video… and there’s no other recent pics of fisher or a black cat anywhere else on the property. In fact, Iv never seen a fisher on this property (8H, Rush NY) pic of fox for comparison. Edited July 9, 2023 by JohnPlav
Robhuntandfish Posted July 9, 2023 Posted July 9, 2023 I'd say fisher, but hard to tell. Is there anything next to that spot that is muddy at all to check tracks? "it's pointless for humans to paint scenes of nature when they can go outside and stand in it"- Ron Swanson
Cabin Fever Posted July 9, 2023 Posted July 9, 2023 (edited) Fisher. Just got my first pic of a fisher on the property in 8H this spring also. Edited July 9, 2023 by Cabin Fever Rusty 1
G-man Posted July 9, 2023 Posted July 9, 2023 Definitely a fisher ears are wrong for a cat as is hip and doesnt have a primordial pouch like a cat.
JohnPlav Posted July 9, 2023 Author Posted July 9, 2023 I was thinking fisher… not typical habitat tho, this is a small patch of woods surrounded by ag fields. Maybe he’ll take out some of the obnoxious red squirrels.
cas Posted July 9, 2023 Posted July 9, 2023 Based on my many many pics and videos, Fisher. Or a springing jagular.
Pygmy Posted July 9, 2023 Posted July 9, 2023 No doubt in my mind it is a fisher...Even in the still picts, the unique gait of the fisher gives it away... A fisher does not move in any way similar to a cat... JohnPlav 1
