Tried something new... well to me

Recommended Posts

I usually spray,  then till (3 pt tiller) a couple weeks later, then roll and then seed..   I always find that when there is some dead plant matter on the surface after I roll, the seed does better..   I think part of it is that the plant matter holds moisture longer and I think the other part is that if you get a heavy rain it keeps the seed from washing out (especially if there is elevation change to your plot)..    So what you are doing probably accomplishes those same things.   Good luck with the plot and good luck with the wedding!!

i am doing about the same this year (WITH PLOTS).  Im def not tilling with the ATV tiller (I call it killer).  Have to lift that thing with 3 cinder blocks after every pass as it fills up with weeds and floats.  Done with that. Yours looks great.

Congrats on the wedding!
