Big Paul Posted July 31, 2023 Posted July 31, 2023 Anyone ever deal with Pigweed in their food plots? If so, what did you do about it? This appears to be the king of weeds. It's taking all the fun of food plotting out of me.
corydd7 Posted July 31, 2023 Posted July 31, 2023 Yup. Had some about 7 foot tall in my main plot. Just sprayed it hopefully in a week it is dead.
G-man Posted August 1, 2023 Posted August 1, 2023 Atrazine or 2/4 d when young and as a pre emergent Crossbow spot spray when older Big Paul 1
Big Paul Posted August 1, 2023 Author Posted August 1, 2023 I'm afraid to plant anything in this one plot. I sprayed it with gly and 2 4D I hope to plant winter rye come early September.

LET EM GROW Posted August 10, 2023 Posted August 10, 2023 (edited) My back yard soil is full or Lambsquarter and pigweed. IT is absolutely insane. I used it as a weed barrier for my fall plots the first year i planted there. ITs hardy stuff and requires more than GLY, It makes me use 24d with gly now just to beat its stubborn butt.
