Mega Fawns+ Early Anterless Season

Recommended Posts

Yesterday, I almost slammed into 2 Fawns and a Doe down here in Orange County. In fact this year,I am seeing Fawns nearly everyday. Most are Small with plenty of Spots.

Looking to try my hand for the 2nd year in the Early Anterless Season down here in 3M on September 9th-17th. Already pulled 2-3M Tags. Good Friend Cynthia will get 1 of those Tags.

Looking to get a Nice Doe. But if,I see a Fawn Trailing close,I don't think,I can shoot.  Hoping for a Lone Doe for my 1st Deer.

Come on,I have to get at least 1 Deer Lifetime right.

Good luck Bill.  I find myself looking forward to the opener of that season more than any other.  Most likely, that’s because it has long been mostly about the meat for me and it’s been so long since I’ve had a crack at any .

I can almost taste those tenderloins now.  There’s nothing like some of those, cooked medium rare with some fresh-picked  Silver Queen sweet corn:

if I could pick one meal to eat every day for the rest of my life, that might be it.

Fawns actually have a higher survival rate when they are separated from their mothers.  They learn to take care of themselves at a younger age.

not if they live near wolc they dont.

Or, shoot them both and Ill trade you a tag for a fawn. I've been wanting to try fawn for a few years now.
