Wife just received her pistol and she also got her CCW.  Trying to figure out what my work best for her.  Her biggest issues is eye sight so any blacked out front sight won’t work.  I have no problem paying for after market sights for her either.  Would like her to have either a 9mm or .380.

We looked at the S&W EZ she didn’t like that, she doesn’t like my S&W shield but was kinda what she was looking for.  We looked at the some Glocks and she didn’t like how bulky they were.  My friend has a Sig P365 that she wants to go shoot.

Front runners are the Ruger LCP max that’s in .380 and the hell cat but she’s leaning more towards the LCP.

thoughts? Revolvers not a good option for 1st time shooters?

I like my shield in .40.  but I can see where it would be a little bulky for smaller hands.

Revolver would be a great choice.  Best bet it to handle as many as she can, and don't be too anxious to purchase.

I love my shield in 9mm but will be looking at the Sig when we shoot it also.  That is her problem she has small hands and even running the slide on the shield she had a hard time with it.

Ya the slide on my 40 is definitely on the stiffer side.  I'm thinking a 380 might be the ticket. Spring shouldn't be quite as stiff as a 9mm or larger.

If she doesn't find something in a semi because of the stiff slides, then I'd definitely consider a wheel gun.

My wife just bought an Sig P365. She likes it a lot. Had it added to my permit. Very nice shooting gun. May buy one for myself.
My daughter has the Hellcat. That is also a very nice shooting gun.  Both are very good for carrying concealed.
My wife and daughter didn’t like my  Shield either.

Small and light can make it very uncomfortable to shoot. I wouldn’t go any smaller than a lcp max, I own one but it’s not a plinking gun and wouldn’t recommend for a first ccw. If she hasn’t held/shot a G42 make sure she does before buying. I own one and hate it but every woman to include my teenage daughter love shooting it.

A Glock 26feels bulky to a lot of woman at first but once they start shooting more handguns they start appreciating its size because of how comfortable they are to shoot and they’re still very concealable.
