NY Ren Faire

but is anyone else going to the Ren Faire?  We go every year.

We might take our girls. We went to a Renaissance fair in MA several years ago and it was a lot of fun.

Back when the wife and I were first dating she talked me into going to the one out by Syracuse. 12 years ago I'd say. It was OK. Women in low-cut push-up dresses were fun to look at. $15 for a dry turkey leg not so much.

  I have never been to the Renaissance Fair. I only live 5 miles away from it too. I keep saying,I will go and never get around to going.

Why would anyone beat you up for this? You know how many Tiddys you see bustin out at the Ren fair?

You should go Bill.  I bet you'd really enjoy it.  I've been to the one in Oswego a couple of times.  It's neat.  Havent been in prob 20 years. I actually bought my Mom and Stepdad a package there to renew their vows for 25 th anniversary.  They walk everyone around the fair, have a troop singing with you, then had a prime rib dinner and then they did multiple private skits for the whole group. There was like 25 couples signed up for it.  It was fun. 

The jousting is pretty cool and you can even walk around with your favorite - a smoked turkey leg.

I brought the family a few weeks ago to the one in sterling. It can be a lot of fun if you're with the right crowd. Just be prepared for a long lines and stiff prices. Turkey legs are now $18 a piece.

Also keep in mind that if this is the last weekend, they will run out of food. And once word gets out that there are food shortages, there will be a run on all the food stations. I experienced that a year or two ago.
