nywaw Posted November 4, 2022 Posted November 4, 2022 Just a heads up that I added Tapatalk Support as I saw many were using it. Note however, that Tapatalk only supports seeing the forums and the site will have content beyond just forums! 👍 Marion 1
Moho81 Posted November 6, 2022 Posted November 6, 2022 I assume it’s a tapatalk issue but seeing as how your an active owner I’ll ask anyways. We use to be able to get notifications thought tapatalk like PM’s and when people quoted you etc. but that seemed to have stopped a long time ago. The only way to see them now is by logging in through the web on the actual website. It’s a little annoying as tapatalk makes it easy for 90% of how I use the forum. Is that a site thing you can do or just a screwy tapatalk thing that you have no control over. ?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Unfortunately that's a Tapatalk sided thing and something they control in their software. Tapatalk has slowly gotten worse over the years IMO and we encourage members to use the website in a browser instead. There are four main benefits to using a browser: 1. The website is "responsive", meaning the layout will automatically adjust and display based on your device's viewport (screen size) 2. You can only see basic forum features on Tapatalk. There are a bunch of other parts of the site, helpful links, leaderboards, pages, etc that Tapatalk doesn't show you. Many only care about forums, but there are and will be other features on the site that Tapatalk won't give you access to 3. Most importantly, I have more control in making changes to the site. I can't control what Tapatalk does. It has been over a year since their last update despite bugs I and others have reported (spammers joining through Tapatalk for example). 4. At some point we would need to enable ads here to help pay for the site hosting costs. Tapatalk ad revenue goes directly to them rather than the site. They share basically pennies. So all the Tapatalk usage by members doesn't help the site financially, but I understand the convenience for members who use and like it, so we keep it installed for them.

Perhaps I’ll give the ol fashioned way a try again. Tapatalk use to be so easy but now it’s glitchy and probably better I use the website anyways. nywaw 1

It was super convenient at first but over time I realized I was missing a lot or just dealing with a bunch of bugs/issues.
