I just bought a ruger super redhawk 44 mag. I need to get a scope on it abs get it ready for gun season this year.  I can't wait.

Are you dead set on a scope ? I started with a red dot , tried a scope and went back to a red dot . My scope cost me a shot at a buck in low light at  only 15 yards . I can shoot pretty good out to 100 yards with my red dot . Just a suggestion .

I'm definitely not dead set on a scope.  That gun is pretty I love the wooden handle.

Which red dot is that? I had a super ruger redhawk years ago with a red dot but didn't like it much but I probably had a cheap red dot on it.

Is that a Dan Wesson Kodiak with the long slide? Beautiful gun.

Yes. Grip safeties and my grip don't play along, so I usually deactivate them. My high grip also doesn't like the EGW ambi safety it comes with. I have them on other guns, but thinned down. So rather than permanently alter the gun, I swapped in parts, hence the strange two tone effect that most of my 1911's have. lol

Well since i messed up in my first reply. Its a ultra dot red dot, thats all i use they are known for their reliability. I have them on the wife's and boy 357 mag’s also. I prefer a tube dot for those times of inclement  weather in the stand, i do need to get some Butler creak flip  caps for it .
The grip is a Pau Ferro from Hogue , i have big hands and the factory finger groove grips didn't fit me well . The wood grip has palm swell and overall thicker and fits my hand way better.
Another suggestion for ya , i bought a bandolier holster for a scoped revolver to carry the SRH. Its nice having it right on my chest ready to go, it works great

I used this 10mm to shoot some vegetation in front of a deer last year, does that count?
