A First on Trailcam... Owl

Was surprised to see this owl on trailcam, and during the day! Video of it appearing to eat it's dinner too!

Got this hawk catching and flying away with a snake

This hawk landed on our deck railing and stayed for 5 minutes and the flew off.

The owl has something in its claws, possibly a small bird?. It looks like maybe a feather is slowly falling behind it.

Love barred owls. Easy call to imitate and use to locate gobblers on their roosts.

Northern flicker.   It’s a woodpecker that eats ants off the ground.

Interesting thought. We have lots of owls where my cameras are but I don't think I've ever gotten one. 

But then I thought about the falcons. There's a probably 50'x50' patch of woods where I have two, sometimes three cameras. Every year for the last few years the falcons have nested pretty much over head. In July when I was changing cards and batteries,  the young ones were making a fuss in the trees overhead. But I've never gotten them on camera.
