Is it wrong to shoot a deer if . . .

Back in the mid-2000's Harmonie State Park in Indiana (across the river from where I grew up) had their first deer managemnt hunt. Before that, there was no hunting on the state park, and I remember going out with my family and the deer coming up to the car windows wanting food. I can't imagine the first hunters bagging deer that were walking right up to them. Still, it was in bad need of managment being so overpopulated.

I run management hunts for private communities and the first few hunts are always brutal.   I would walk by stands carrying a bucket of corn, with a parade of deer following me.  Some guys just couldn’t do it, they’d climb down and go home.    But like you said, it’s a necessary evil.   The deer are destroying everything.
