sbuff Posted November 30, 2022 Posted November 30, 2022 Figured it was only a matter of time before target sports would stop shipping to NYS ,just got the email to confirm it . Placed my final order just now as they said by the weeks end it will need to go FFL. Get your order in if needed , I was not a need but a you can't have enough Nomad, Buckmaster7600 and LET EM GROW 2 1
Buckmaster7600 Posted November 30, 2022 Posted November 30, 2022 Unfortunately it’s what the people want! Thankfully I’m minutes from good friends in Vermont! dbHunterNY 1
sbuff Posted November 30, 2022 Author Posted November 30, 2022 I may be doing more trips to Vermont myself , although Zacks sports in round lake has been my go to ammo stop as of late
Nomad Posted November 30, 2022 Posted November 30, 2022 Thousands of rounds here at home , access to a well stocked shop, and winter in Fla where boxes show up a few days after arriving. It’s unfortunate but you’ve got to get creative, have items shipped to friend out of state then shipped to you , travel a bit , it’s bad now I don’t expect it to improve anytime soon . Nontypical Posted December 1, 2022 Posted December 1, 2022 I’d love to give TartgetSports my business, but they never seem to have what I’m looking for. I was doing some last minute shopping for .357 Sig, but they didn’t have much at all. I ended up ordering a bunch of Speer Lawman on GB for a great price. Hopefully it goes through and he ships it direct.
Nontypical Posted December 1, 2022 Posted December 1, 2022 And btw if you’re LE, TS will still ship directly to your home. LE is exempt. cervidchasers 1
Loworange88 Posted December 1, 2022 Posted December 1, 2022 Simmons Sporting Goods just sent me an email stating they would send to FFL only after December 5. Does anyone know if an FFL will charge an “transfer fee” for ammo? I mean they still have to handle it to an extent.
Nomad Posted December 1, 2022 Posted December 1, 2022 I don’t know about transfer fees at a FFL but my guess would be yes . Something I think about as well, we’re sending large amounts of ammo to Ukraine , we’re going to need to replace that US stockpile and that takes priority over the commercial market .
LET EM GROW Posted December 6, 2022 Posted December 6, 2022 10$ transfer fee at a shop i used last week. FLX Armory. From Rogers sporting Goods.
Nontypical Posted December 6, 2022 Posted December 6, 2022 Most FFL’s around here charge $10. If they actually come through with a way to do background checks, I can see it increasing significantly. Don’t be surprised if they introduce a bill to charge a tax per round as well in the future.
dbHunterNY Posted December 19, 2022 Posted December 19, 2022 i hear ammo seek traffic is at an all time low. haha jk
