I talk to @Chef  pretty regularly through a group text. He’s doing well, fishing a ton and busy with work. Like many he hates not being able to access the forum on Tapatalk.

I just fished Jones  beach with him last weekend. Slammed with work but has a big fishing trip coming up next weekend which I hope he will share here

Yea I would be here a lot more with Tapatalk or any app that gave me alerts. I work a ton and if it's not giving me alerts it's hard to stay engaged

I have enabled PWA here awhile back, but haven't tested it out extensively.  It's a Progressive Web App that adds this site to your home screen to act just like a native app.  It should send you push notifications directly.

There are a number of reasons I don't use Tapatalk but one of the primary ones is there are apps that are used on this site that Tapatalk does not support. Tapatalk is forums only, which limits what can be done/seen here if you are on Tapatalk. 

 

For iPhone on Safari:

 

Add a website icon to your Home Screen

You can add a website icon to your iPhone Home Screen for quick access.

1. While viewing the website, tap  in the menu bar.

2. Scroll down the list of options, then tap Add to Home Screen.

   If you don’t see Add to Home Screen, you can add it. Scroll down to the bottom of the list, tap Edit Actions, then tap  Add to Home Screen.

The icon appears only on the device where you add it.

Check your notification settings here:  https://www.nywoodsandwater.com/notifications/options/

Make sure you have Push set for the different things you want notifications for.
