Last year I ran into an orthopedic surgeon I know at the Westchester county airport. He and his buddies were just getting back from a pheasant hunt in SD. I can't imagine flying across the country to hunt pheasants, but they said it was awesome. @Marion knows the guy too.

A family friend. I've actually hunted with him before. Great guy. Free range pheasant hunt would be awesome!

I'm heading to North Dakota with some friends on October 12th for 10 days, populations are reportedly way up for pheasant and sharp-tails. The guys I'm going with did South Dakota two years ago and said it was awesome. The pup is coming along well, it should be an amazing trip.
