Online Bow Course

How painful is the online bow course? I have been trying for the last two years to find an in-person for my two daughters who just turned 13 as I believe the in-person is best. But between all of their other obligations, its just not happening. They aren't planning to bow hunt this year, but I figured we have to get it done for when they are strong enough to pull back enough weight to actually hunt. At this poinit, they just want to complete the course.

My oldest took the regular hunter safety online during Covid and that was rough, wondering if the bow course is the same type of rough.

The online course is just watching video's and answering questions.

We are having an in person bow course on Sept. 30th. At Woodlawn Sportsmen's Club in Rotterdam. That isn't too far from you. Would love to have you and the girls! We have a lot of hands on stuff to make the course fun, as well as educational.

From memory the online bow course is the same format as the regular online course so if you found the regular course to be rough you will probably find the bow course the same way.

We broke up the course into 1-2 hour sittings this way it wasn't as bad/boring. When the kiddo was tired of doing it we stopped and came back to it the next time.

I saw that, unfortunately my daugther will be running in Utica and my other one has a softball tourney... It's a nice spot over there, used to utilize the facility for work.

I think if you take your time, and make it only a hr or so per session, you'll be fine. Make it a game of sorts.  The more it's entertaining, the more they will learn and retain.

But I agree, the best way to learn is hands on.
