Happy to see this hen with a poult! They were in the yard yesterday and this morning for a couple hours feeding. First poult I've seen in 3 years of living here! We've had a flock of 5-6 hens every year in the summer, but none have ever had poults with them. I've done some serious trapping and shooting of nest raiders, so I hope I might have helped this poult survive.
