Outstanding Bill…..I’ve only killed two fall birds.   A hen in Texas in 1982 (busted off the roost) and a Jake in the 90’s.   Just wasn’t what I wanted to do when I was busy shooting deer and raisin’ hell.    Lol

Black Lab Ben above on one of the pictures Flushed up 2 Flocks of Turkeys while we were out Pheasant/Woodcock Hunting. A welcome addition!

One Fall,I called a whole Flock down a Rockwall. They were on the Field side and,I was hidden on the Woods side.

  A Hen walked far enough away from her Flockmates to give me a clear shot. Down She went and the Whole Flock either Sprinted away or took to the Air.

  All except 1 Jake who milled about. Another easy shot here and-- I let him go. I had the 1 Hen . I could have had another easy Double that Fall Day.

  I have let Turkeys go before- a good 12 of them over the years. 

  On that Fall Day- 1 Turkey was enough.
