mowin Posted December 2, 2022 Posted December 2, 2022 As most of you that use the food saver type of sealer have found out, it's a PITA keeping the top edge of the vacuum bags clean especially when packaging burger. Keeping this area clean is key for a good seal. The easiest way I've found is to cut the bottom off a solo cup and drop the burger through the cup. JJBat150 Posted December 2, 2022 Posted December 2, 2022 (edited) My method is to have my wife hold the bag open, then I drop the meat in. Whenever I miss and get some on the bag or her hands, she proceeds to tell me that its a good thing I'm not a basketball player and she's amazed I was ever able to impregnate her. Why would I ever give up that much entertainment? 😕 Edited December 2, 2022 by JJBat150 Robhuntandfish, cervidchasers, 9jNYstarkOH and 6 others 9

I wound up going back to straight vacuum sealing and trying to get as much air out as possible. I found some fish just keep better than others. What is your water method? How do you package them?

I just use 1 quart zip lock bags. Probably 90% of my fish is crappie and bass. Fill bag 1/2 to 2/3s full of fish. Set bag down in sink ,hanging onto the top , fill bag to overflowing with water. Zip the top up as you slowly push down a little on top of the bag so that water is continually running out the top until it's sealed without any air in the bag. nywaw 1
