What we're up against as gun owners.

We have weekly safety meetings at work, about topics management feels are relevant to our field.

One of the topics today was "workplace violence"

Long story short, if you own or even like guns, you are to be watched and flagged as suspect.

I get it that workplace violence is serious, but come on.

The level of brain washing in this country is mind blowing.

@Skillet i'd go talk to HR and express that you feel management is creating a discriminatory work environment and you're concerned as a supporter of the 2nd amendment of the united states constitution you'll be treated with prejudice and differently than other employees.

your managed by some ignorant liberals with an agenda or bias. whether they mean to openly and cleverly express it or not who knows.

Honestly, a good position.  They can't retaliate for you reporting your legitimate concern.

I have no "alleged fondness" for firearms. :)

One of the questions when you get your state background check is "prior military status".   Why would they need that? I doubt they're going to search military records as well, probably just one more check mark on the "watch this guy" list.

As for workplace violence, I've long said I wanted to run for union president with that as my main issue.  "MORE WORK PLACE VIOLENCE!!!"   We don't have nearly enough! If people were still beating the crap out of each other in the parking lot at lunch time, there'd be a lot less people shooting everyone.  :D

I can tell alot of people  here who might not know that when someone  gets out of Prison- they will have 2 Choices for getting fast employment  and getting  back on their feet.

The first is a Warehouse Position. Strong Backs are always needed. Spent Decades in Warehouses and worked with guys straight out of the big house.

And the 2nd is working at a big box store. Wallyworld especially. Most preferred  overnight stocking if that store had a 24 hour format.

Alot of wallyworlds as most here know now close at either 10pm or 11pm. So they would prefer the 2nd Shift.

Worked with plenty of guys right out of Prison back in Receiving  unloading Containers and Pallet Jacking ultra Heavy Pallets out to the Floor later .

Just the very slightest of Nods towards these Men means everything  to them. And that Respect is Returned.

Probably  Gun Owners and Ex Prison inmates would be looked on as Terrorists. Weird how things are going right?

Meanwhile,I see Illegal Immigrants everyday as,I live near Kiras Joel where endless construction continues and workers get paid under the table.

You’re correct Bill, a nod & a wink is very comforting.
