Bionic Posted December 3, 2022 Posted December 3, 2022 (edited) So yeah, fridge is just cool now, not cold. Fortunately, I have never had issues with a fridge after 12 yrs of ownership. I have cleaned the coils etc down below, but was curious if I don’t know anything obvious. I hear the fan running, and hear what sounds like a relay click every so often. Im glad its cold outside, and I have a spare upright freezer in my basement. Transferred all of my frozen foods to the big freezer, and will set my refrigerated goods in a cooler on the deck since its cold out. I hear door seals can fail, but how do you check them? Piece of paper trick? Edited December 3, 2022 by Bionic grampy 1
grampy Posted December 3, 2022 Posted December 3, 2022 That sucks. Sorry, I have no fridge experience to help. Bionic 1

nywaw Posted December 4, 2022 Posted December 4, 2022 The clicking on and off is usually a bad condenser. If you wind up getting a new fridge stay away from GE. Been in a mess with them since July and going on my third replacement and 8th service appointment. Good luck. Bionic 1
Robhuntandfish Posted December 4, 2022 Posted December 4, 2022 All I know is they def don't last like they used to. Bought my last one at Lowe's and they said the days of fridges lasting 25 years are gone. Sorry to hear, not what you need around the holidays.
