That special or most sentimental/nostalgic Xmas decorations or ornaments.

So what decoration or ornament do you have that are special to you or your family?

Mine is the Santa tree topper. My mom and dad purchased one of these in 1946 for there first Xmas together. My older brothers, sister and I remember Santa topping our tree until around 2000 when he just crumbled apart.  While the one we have now isn't the one we had growing up, it is a original 1940's topper.  I can remember dad opening the box and carefully removing the newspaper he wrapped around it the previous yr, before putting it up on the tree.  I smile when I look at it, and shed a tear at the same time as I remember mom and dad.

The bell we made in kindergarten, 1964, wrote our name in glue, then sprinkled glitter on it . It’s been on a tree every year since, when the kids were home in my best Clark Griswald voice , I’d say “ kids did I ever tell you…” Yes !

The paper star dated 2004 once had a paper chain, each day you’d remove one link, till on Christmas all was left was the star . It got over looked for a few years, till one day I said what the heck is that star doing there ? Afterwards I forbid it’s removal.

Maybe it's my OCD, but that deer decoration is literally blocking your tv. How does that not drive you nuts?

About ten years ago we had the Christmas disaster.  The dog ran into tree and cocked it.  While under tree stand which was one of those awful plastic ones the entire tree fell over taking all of grandma's glass ornaments from early 1900's with it.  We had to start all new ornament memories.

We do have a tree in our woods that every year we hang an ornament on that means something to us.  Usually something like a dog tag from a man's best friend that go to great beyond.

Obviously I just close my right eye when watching TV.   Silly question Belo.

For me it's 6. The first and only angel we bought when we were dating that's still on the tree 10 years later, my Dad's Marvin the martian (he passed in 2005) and our girls first ever ornaments when we couldn't wait to meet them, and the two paw prints of our boys.

Sadly the one I got my wife for our pooch that we lost in April isn't up yet (present). It's one of his best looking regal pictures lol
