dbHunterNY Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 I've gone through my inventory and i have other heads but since 2010 when they came out I switched from throw away original Rage heads to the original Rage titanium 2-blade broadhead. I've only changed out the blades, unless the head gets lost out in the field/woods when I shoot something. cut on contact design, really have never noticed a bent ferrule, and have always gotten pass-throughs. i spin my screwed on broadheads with an arrow spinner before they go back into my quiver and stay with that arrow. i think i'm down to two of these heads left and that gives me great heartache. They need to bring the design back. Anyway what's your favorite broadhead, whether it be newly discovered or old time tested? Rusty and LET EM GROW 2

mowin Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 Swhacker 100g .. I've shot several deer with low poundage bows using these with fantastic results. dbHunterNY 1
Bucksnbows Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 I’m old fashioned. A Muzzy 3 blade for me. I don’t need flash, just a reliable head that flies where my field points fly. I did take my bear Monday with that head on a crossbow. I didn’t think I could stand well to draw my Hoyt, so I grabbed the Ten Point. BowmanMike Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 I am really liking the cutthroat 2 blade single bevel. One piece design and durable. Rusty, dbHunterNY and LET EM GROW 3
JohnPlav Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 Muzzy MX-3, G5 Montec, and Rage Extreme-4... I'm all over the board. Depends on which spot I'm hunting and which bow I'm using. dbHunterNY and Rusty 2

What are your bow specs, out of curiosity? They claim you need 65 ft-lbs of KE. I'm sure I'm there, but I have never shot through a chronograph to know my arrow velocity and calculate KE. My total arrow weight is 475 gr. And my bow is currently 71.5 lbs at 28 inches. I think I'll be fine. dbHunterNY and Robhuntandfish 1 1

Nontypical Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 Montec G5’s fly as accurate as field tips from my bow. And are just as effective as any other broad head when a good shot is made. dbHunterNY and Rusty 1 1
grampy Posted October 12, 2023 Posted October 12, 2023 Muzzy MX4 for me. They fly true. Get pass throughs, even with a low poundage bow. Large holes on both sides. No muss. No fuss. Rusty and dbHunterNY 2
