I’ll butt right up to them, but I don’t shoot over them.

For Turkey,I ease back about 40 yards and have shot some Turkeys  that were called on my side by me.

Depends if the neighbor is okay with me shooting onto his property or not. If he is, then Ill go right up on to it. If not, then Ill try to place it in a manner where I wont be shooting over the line.

Same here.

Curious how close yall are willing to put up a stand next to a property boundary? 50 yards? 100 yards? 5

So, no consideration for how far and which direction a deer might go after the shot?

That’s what shoulder blades are for.  Not quite 2 months ago,  I dropped this one in its tracks, 5 yards from the property line, from a stand that was 50 yards from the line:

I have one ladder stand that that the platform is on a tree on the neighbors, but the base of the ladder is on the property I hunt, and it's only 200' from there front window, lol.

It's a perfect pinch point and the neighbor is ok with it and has no problem with me rifle hunting it.

I have several right on the property line.  But the way out place is that's about where all the trees are.  It's a swamp for the most part. But behind the stands is so thick you'd need a machete to get thru it. So no shooting out there even if we would consider it.  And the other owners know we are there and all is good.  They dont hunt near those edges either.

I have a great relationship with my neighbor on 2 sides (3rd is a no hunting preserve and 4th is road).  Anyways, I put stands on the live or even a touch over.   He farms areas that I may own.  They could care less about me shooting into their property but also own 7000 acres so my borders are a very small fraction.  Nice farming family.

We have a lease that is generally thickets and fields, and the property is a long thin slice that you could almost shoot across with a good rifle. It doesn't matter where you put the stands, the deer run toward one of the neighbor's because it's bedding cover. We have some stands on our side of a rock wall / lane,  because that's the only place there's good trees - the hedge is mostly thicket. But the neighbor hates it. In twenty years, we've never shot over the line and we've never gone on his property without permission. And we still hesitate to shoot a deer on that side for fear of being denied entry. Personally, I don't think it would matter where our stands were; the guy just doesn't like anybody shooting "his" deer.

On the other hand, I've encouraged our neighbors on a piece we own to bowhunt the edges of their field, since they don't have any woods. I ask that they don't shoot into our property,  but I'm not too picky along the edge. We all try to play nice together - and I get bits of intel on local giants when they show.

Two very different approaches.

A few of my urban bow spots we were able to obtain recover rights so then stands r on the line

if not. All depends.   Hunted gun one year in an urban area.  Could see 5 other hunters all on neighboring pieces.

one am on the first Saturday of gun  years back I could see a stand like 60 yds below me on the hill on a diff piece.   The deer come up the hill.  Well at 707 he comes a hunter.  He sees me waves n walks back like 70 yds n sits on the ground    I stayed till 9.  When I got out. He walked over to his stand n climbed up.

Sometimes private tracks are more crowded than public esp if you have small piece.   Thinking back.  One spot we had was 11 acres.   next door had 10.   One am was 5 guys out on those pieces
