Savage Axis and 44mm scope

Thinking of picking up a vortex 44mm scope.

Anyone know if the stock rings have enough clearance for the 44mm scope?

Idk what you mean by stock rings, but you should be fine with Low rings as well as medium rings.  The difference in 40 mm vs 44mm is roughly .25" so you would be .125" closer to the rail or gun barrel
