Skillet Posted November 16, 2023 Posted November 16, 2023 Nothing like your own land to make hunting stupid easy, and offset (in my case) a terrible set of hunting skills. Hell, I call our hill "Aldi's". I mean, I almost feel guilty shooting a deer or turkey at my place, they're so dumb. Last turkey I killed up there came in with a stupid grin on his face, and asked me how it was hanging. We were sharing family photos when I shanked him from behind. And deer, forget it! They are up there practically wrapping themselves in freezer paper! I mean, I feel so good about paying taxes, dealing with trespassing, and all the endless work that comes with maintaining a nice property. It's the least I can do, in return for hunting what's pretty much a guaranteed, high fence operation. I have killed 726 deer there, 14 elk, 62 snipe, AND COUNTLESS TURKEYS. dbHunterNY, Robhuntandfish, Pygmy and 16 others 4 1 14 "Who the son sets free, is free indeed" John 8:36

Yep limited by boundary lines. Small acreage. Can't find a bird on private I head to state 1000s of acres to roam if your willing. Main reason I stay on private... im freaking lazy don't want to get in vehicle and drive anywhere. Can hunt 1 hour and go back in house. Watch game to end and go out for last hour.. lazy..yep camp lazy acres... Spaceman Spiff, fletchny11, Cabin Fever and 7 others 7 3

Robhuntandfish Posted November 16, 2023 Posted November 16, 2023 I had a pic of a turkey in April on our property. So we must have hundreds. I mean I haven't seen one all spring, summer, or fall when I've been out there but they must be there it is private land.
