Moog5050 Posted November 22, 2023 Posted November 22, 2023 Having a hard time believing it is what I think it is. Second pic for point of comparison. Robhuntandfish 1

LET EM GROW Posted November 22, 2023 Posted November 22, 2023 That's a camera destroyer right there..
The_Real_TCIII Posted November 22, 2023 Posted November 22, 2023 I think it's technically goldenrod but weve always called it "dingweeds" Moho81, turkeyfeathers, grampy and 2 others 5
Moog5050 Posted November 22, 2023 Author Posted November 22, 2023 Looked like a bear to me but we just don’t have them around here. Pretty cool.

mowin Posted November 22, 2023 Posted November 22, 2023 I've only had bears " nudge" my cams so far, but a couple buddies have had them destroyed, and a couple are actually MIA, but still sending random pics, lol.

JohnPlav Posted November 22, 2023 Posted November 22, 2023 Yes! Moog is gonna fight a bear! Bears showing up in Spring is a little more common as the young ones explore. But you're right, very rare this time of year. Did they cut corn nearby recently? I had one show up in November in Rush right after they cut corn. I was thinking maybe he was living happily in the corn until they cut. Also had one on cam in northern Avon this past Spring. mowin 1
grampy Posted November 22, 2023 Posted November 22, 2023 Definitely a nice sized bear! Is this from your property close to home? Bear are fairly common in these parts of Albany County. We got one on camera a couple nights ago. But we rarely see them when hunting this time of year.

I would conservatively say that for every trail cam picture I have of a deer, I have over 50 of bears. You would think the opposite, but we remain overrun. mowin and Rusty 1 1 "A sinking fly is closer to Hell" - Anonymous https://www.troutscapes.com https://nativefishcoalition.org/national-board
