So I tried BH209 today... I need speed loaders..

And I'm amazed at how clean it burns and easy it is to load after a few shots.

I started with 80g with 250g power belt aerolite.  Got a good group.  Jumped to 90g, and the group opened up some.  Settled on 80g.

So now I need speed loaders.  What's everyone using?  Don't know what brand I have, but the bullet doesn't seat tight and the powder will get past the bullet. Might just use them for powder, and keep a couple bullets in my pocket..

What gun you shooting?

Here's my summary/notes for my .50 caliber T/C Triumph!  Those Harvester Crushed Rib sabots are excellent and the Hornady SST is super accurate.  Definitely want to be shooting the hotter shotgun primers (CCI, Federal 209A, etc).  The ML 209 primers aren't hot enough.

Muzzleloader: .50 caliber T/C Triumph
Bullet: .45 caliber 250 grain Hornady SST
Sleeve: Harvest Crushed Rib Black (long)
Powder: 110 grains Blackhorn 209
Breech: T/C Speedbreech XT
Caps: Federal 209A shotgun primers
Notes: Use Blackhorn 209 Cleaning Solvent by Montana X-Treme

Using a TC pro hunter with stock breech plug.  Shot 12 times today, and didn't have a issue.  1.5" group at 100y using 80g.  Group opened up to about 2.5" using 90g.

I use the clear ones, as well. The primer holder is great, too. Just be sure to get the right primers!! Normal primers don't have enough omphf - don't ask me how I know lol. Blackhorn specifies exactly what you need on their site, and as stated above Federal 209A shotshell works (as does CCI 209M).

Do you weight the powder before adding to the tube or are the tick marks on the tube good enough for consistency across shots?

I went by volume.  Gave the tube a couple taps to settle the power, and got as close to the 80g line as possible.  1.5" group at 100y.

Drill a hole in those power belts and use them as sinkers!

pick the bullet of your choice and get harvestor sabots and you’ll never even think about changing again!

Everyone keeps saying to get rid of the power belts..  what's so bad about them? Killed lots deer with them. Most dropped within 50y.
