ZAG Posted November 27, 2023 Posted November 27, 2023 I always enjoy seeing everyone’s xmas trees. So another year of a thread. We have 3 real trees. Kind of a long story but here we go. Our go to place in Livonia was a dud. We normally get a big tree and a little buck rub tree but both weren't on display. We grabbed a hand saw and wandered out back thinking we’d find one in the fields but all the trees were really small so we ended up buying one of their Charlie brown trees as my wife likes the goofy ones. Hit another joint down the road from us in Mendon and this place only had smaller trees. Hit another joint in Victor and they had some really really tall or short ones. My wife liked one of them and I was done looking so we grabbed. After getting back it setup on our converted 3 season porch to fully insulated room I wasn’t a fan, to small. Today my wife said we need a bigger tree, I said screw it 😁. She calls a place in Canandaigua and the guys says yeah we have a bunch of big trees. So off we go. We get to the joint and the field is full of small trees. So we walk over to the and he has 3 and they ain’t to burdy so we leave. So I google a joint in Naples and head that way. Along the drive the meat processor called to let us know my sons buck was all cut up which is only 15min from Naples, so that worked out. Anyways this place had a ton and ended up cutting a 10ft’er thats damn perfect!! nywaw, bushbound, Otto and 2 others 5
Splitear Posted November 27, 2023 Posted November 27, 2023 We drove back from Illinois this weekend, and after overnighting in Cleveland, we got home around 1:30 today. My wife asked if we could go ahead and get our tree, which meant that we got our tree today. It’s by far the biggest we’ve ever had, and I blame it on our sleep deprivation. I’ll post photos tomorrow when it’s decorated , but I feel like Clark Griswold looking at the thing. I need to keep my pellet pistol next to the couch in case a squirrel jumps out of the thing. Bucksnbows Posted November 27, 2023 Posted November 27, 2023 That’s this coming Saturday’s event for the wife and I. I love the tradition of finding and cutting our own tree each year. We ended up pitching the fire hazard and just strung lights on a little plant. This was one I cut the first week of December and it always had water. I knew it was bad when walking by it you could hear the needles falling. Day after Xmas, I started taking off the ornaments and lights. Buy the time I was done, that is what it looked like, lol. We've had a artificial tree ever since. 3 yrs later I'm still finding pine needles.. Bucksnbows, ZAG and bushbound 3

Splitear Posted December 1, 2023 Posted December 1, 2023 Our behemoth took a tumble at 1:30 Tuesday morning. I went and bought the most expensive tree stand at the store, a Krinner XXL. Expensive, but totally worth it. ZAG, corydd7, mowin and 2 others 5
