Stubborn1vt Posted December 3, 2023 Posted December 3, 2023 Anyone have a slick system for carrying and organizing SD cards when they head to the field? My current system is to put blank SDs and my card reader in one pocket, my phone and used SD cards in my other pocket. I tend to either mix the SD cards together, or drop them on the ground when I pull out my phone. Seems like I need some kind of small container to hold the cards. Foggy as heck and drizzling in the Champlain Valley and I'm bored AF.
ZAG Posted December 3, 2023 Posted December 3, 2023 I just got the card reader off amazon. Pull card, download to iphone, delete pics off card and return to cam. All in a matter of a minute or two.

mowin Posted December 3, 2023 Posted December 3, 2023 I run cell cams, so I delete my cards after the season and return to the same cam.
nywaw Posted December 3, 2023 Posted December 3, 2023 Depends how many you have but I use one of these for swaps and a bigger one for storage at home. I just rip the chain off the pocket sized one. Don't trust it, keep the whole thing in your pocket. Also when I have a full card I just put them in label down so I know which are full and label up is empty PROfezzion SD Card Holder Case Water-Resistant: Portable 12 Slots Memory Card Case for 8 Micro SD Card & 4 SD/SDXC/SDHC Card, Memory Card Hard Carrying Box Keeper Protector with Rubber Interior Grey https://a.co/d/2fRDRHr GreeneHunter and Stubborn1vt 1 1
Moho81 Posted December 3, 2023 Posted December 3, 2023 I have a card holder like @nywaw mentioned but mine can hold 8 cards 4 on each side. I only use 4 cards so the left side is for blank cards and the right side is for cards to look at. Stubborn1vt 1
SportsmanNH Posted December 3, 2023 Posted December 3, 2023 (edited) I use this card holder . Holds a little over 20 cards on each side . Top pocket is for 2-4GB cards . Middle is for 8GB cards and the bottom is for 16-32GB cards. Different cameras like need different sizes . I keep the fresh cards on the left side and the used cards on the right . Batteries are so you can tell the size . Works great . No More Pocket Cards Going Through The Laundry ! LOL All my cameras have built in viewers . If I see there is nothing worth changing the card , I just delete everything and leave the card in the cam Edited December 3, 2023 by SportsmanNH Stubborn1vt 1
Bucksnbows Posted December 3, 2023 Posted December 3, 2023 I use these fly boxes. Works better than anything else I’ve ever used. GreeneHunter, Stubborn1vt, Rob-c and 3 others 6 "A sinking fly is closer to Hell" - Anonymous https://www.troutscapes.com https://nativefishcoalition.org/national-board
JohnPlav Posted December 3, 2023 Posted December 3, 2023 I utilize a waterproof, see-through card storage system. GreeneHunter, SportsmanNH, nywaw and 6 others 4 5
Upstate Nerdneck Posted December 3, 2023 Posted December 3, 2023 (edited) I've got an old laptop bag that I keep the clean cards in one pocket, put the undownloaded cards in the other. Also contains spare batteries, cable keys, spare cables, card reader and enough room to drop a couple cams in if I'm moving them. I also try and keep a couple spare cards in my hunting pack. Easy card holder: old turkey diaphragm call case Downside is if you forget the bag, you can't move a cam! Edited December 3, 2023 by Upstate Nerdneck
ZAG Posted December 3, 2023 Posted December 3, 2023 (edited) Any reason none of you use a simple card reader and dl them to ur phone? Seems like a-lot messing around with a crap ton of sd cards imo. Seems like the tech stone age with all these cards and laptops 😁 Edited December 3, 2023 by ZAG

However I do put a bunch in there. I have one that has a big piece of orange tape on it for the "hot" cards that have pics on them. So I know which holder to put them in. Cause I've messed that up before. Lol Edited December 3, 2023 by Robhuntandfish "it's pointless for humans to paint scenes of nature when they can go outside and stand in it"- Ron Swanson

I like this. @Stubborn1vt they have these boxes at Walmart for like a buck or something close to that. It's a good idea. After seeing this I pulled one out that is empty to use.
