mowin Posted December 4, 2023 Posted December 4, 2023 Woke up in the middle of the night with a massive headache. Tried to sit up but got so dizzy I had to lay back down. Finally got up, and was ok dizziness wize, but bad headache and stiff neck. Feeling ok now except for mid level headache. Did have a couple tick bites a month ago, but they were not engorged, or had the bullseye rash. Called doc and have appointment today at 1:30. NYRturkeycall, Bucksnbows and Robhuntandfish 3
virgil Posted December 4, 2023 Posted December 4, 2023 Good idea. Lyme's symptoms are varied and not easy to pinpoint. Getting tested is a good idea. There are a lot of bugs going around right now. Better to get a negative Lyme's test and be told that you just have a sinus infection than to wait too long. mowin 1
Robhuntandfish Posted December 4, 2023 Posted December 4, 2023 sounds exactly how i felt when I had Lyme. Good luck hope all is ok mowin 1 "it's pointless for humans to paint scenes of nature when they can go outside and stand in it"- Ron Swanson

I woke up to a massive, massive headache that made me throw up, terrible stiff neck and was in so much pain I couldn’t function. Trip to er and I had meningitis. In hospital for about a week. DoubleDose Posted December 4, 2023 Posted December 4, 2023 (edited) Massive headache combined with stiff neck is a reason to go to the ER immediately. If it is caused by something serious, the time to getting quick diagnosis and treatment is critical to positive outcome. mowin Posted December 4, 2023 Author Posted December 4, 2023 Well, doc took blood and EKG was fine. Ordered a head CT scan for tomorrow morning. Not sure what he's gonna find in there, lol. He's leaning towards vertigo, but put me on doxy for precaution. I'll have results of the blood work tomorrow. Robhuntandfish, Otto, Bucksnbows and 3 others 3 3

Otto Posted December 4, 2023 Posted December 4, 2023 My sister in law had very similar symptoms Friday. She was diagnosed with crystals in her inner ear. She got a scrip and will need to do pt to get her balance back. Everything is benign, just need to treat it to get back to normal. She could hardly move on Friday, then had to wait 12 hours in the ER to be diagnosed and treated. mowin and Robhuntandfish 2

Went to hospital and was diagnosed with vertigo. I’ll never forget, doc comes in and grabs her head. Makes/helps her do all sorts of head turning and twists for a few minutes. He then says, can u sit up, she popped up and felt completely fine. It was so strange. Otto and mowin 2
