Looking forward to second part of season opening on Saturday - I am going on my second duck hunt ever on Sunday morning on Fire Island. Planning to use my new panel blind and set it up on the reeds on the bay side beach.  Lugging it through a couple hundred yards of marsh won’t be fun though! I hope the results will be worth the effort.

Thanks blackbeltbill and Rusty- I was just thinking about what craziness it is to get up at 3:30am to drive out to the beach and wade in 8 inches of cold water and reeds to sit on a bucket instead of staying in a nice warm bed!  I hope the excitement of getting my first duck will make it worthwhile!

The best part, is you dog isn't old enough to realize your not supposed to miss. Lol.

Seriously, have a great time, it's all that matters.  Looking forward to that first duck pic.

It'll seem crazy if you don't get a chance to shoot at anything. If you do though, it'll totally make the early morning and all the effort worth it. I've always said that deer hunting is great in it's own way, but duck hunting is a different kind of fun. It can be much faster paced, more shooting, and more comradery. Good luck!
