Todays Duck Hunting Lesson

I was surprised to learn this morning that even when they fill with water, waders are incredibly buoyant!

At least it’s 60 degrees here on Long Island today.

Yes this is true and thankfully it was during decoy pick up at end of hunt!

Any ducks?  We didn’t go out today because of the weather forecast. Seems like it’s not so bad.

My hunting partner got a Merganser but he dove after being hit and we never got to recover him.  I got two shots at a bufflehead but missed.  The morning wasn’t bad- we started at dawn and left at 10:30 just before the rain started.
