Lord willing, I'll be spending a week Bowhunting Whitetails in  Ohio next year or the year after. I've hunted bear a few times in New Brunswick, but this will be my first out of state Whitetail Hunt.

What trips have you folks booked, or are planning for next year or in the near future?

I will be back in PA and may try for the late ML in Ohio.

This is going to be our 3rd year hunting deer out of the state.1st year was PA this year was Ohio. If only I had more time I would hunt them all every year. lol

The plan is to keep bouncing around until we settle on a favorite. 2025 will be Kentucky

Hoping to go back to Ontario, that was a blast and we didn’t make it this year. If I kill an Adirondack buck while Maines season is still going I’ll go up there if they have snow. If I’m tagged out in NY I’ll go to mass for late muzzloader if there’s snow, same with Ohio.

I've done two successful archery Maine bear hunts. Last one was over 20 years ago. Two different Maine guides are very good friends of mine. I host them every year during spring turkey, opening weekend of rifle, and the ML holiday hunt.

I'm thinking about another Maine bear hunt.

I live on the NY/Mass border, so I always get a Mass tag. Mass deer management is so much better than NY, that most of the time I'd rather go to Mass.

I'm holding 5 pref points for Iowa, and I'm hoping to go there in 24. But it's not a guarantee , also Iowa got hit with EHD again, so I'll have to do some research to see if it's worth going or not.

I love to hunt other states, and have been to some of the coolest deer destinations you can imagine. I don't like outfitters, and prefer to do DIY stuff. The only place I needed a outfitter was Saskatchewan, you can't hunt there without one.

I've been to Mass, Maine, NH, Saskatchewan, Ohio, Illinois, Missouri, Nebraska, South Dakota, Iowa. Got bucks everywhere I went. (and a moose)

I'd like to go to Kentucky, Oklahoma, and Louisiana.

I'm due for something in 2024. In Wyoming, I got 9PP's for Elk, 8 deer and 8 lope. I've been trying to find a guide i'm comfortable with for an archery bull elk in Wyoming in Sept. 2024 but no luck yet and apps are due end of January I believe. If nothing feels right, I may do a bear hunt (until CT opens a season) or a KY whitetail hunt. But I'm way overdue for something.

I’ve got a good friend who has family in Ohio, PA, Missouri and Illinois.  So he spoke with them and got it setup if we can find the time to hunt we can stay at their houses.  That’s why we are buying 350 legends this off season so if we can go we have equipment for whatever season we can hunt.

wife also told me starting next year she’s fine with me getting preference points started for Iowa so I can go at least once in my life.

My daughter (only 13) constantly brings up going to Alaska or Wyoming/Montana for elk. Considering I know absolutely nothing about elk hunting I  got curious one day and started looking at how much guide services would run. Talk about sticker shock! I knew it would be expensive but I really didn't think it would be that expensive. DIY would obviously be cheaper but again I know nothing about elk hunting and wouldn't know where to start. I feel like me trying to do a DIY elk hunt with my daughter (when she's a little older) would be way to much like a part time job between all the research and planning involved.
