mowin Posted January 2, 2024 Posted January 2, 2024 (edited) Inside is all put away. Just got back from processing the last 4 deer. Grabbing a bite to eat, then the outside decorations and coming down. Edited January 2, 2024 by mowin grampy 1

NYRturkeycall Posted January 2, 2024 Posted January 2, 2024 Wait until January 6th and then we start putting everything away. 9 or 10 boxes inside. Not counting our Christmas village. Five boxes for outside. Not counting the stuff on the lawn which doesn't get boxed up. It'll probably take me an all day Sit to do it. Plus my little ones absolutely love it and my wife makes the house look very very nice inside so we don't mind keeping it up a little longer. Wolc123, grampy and mowin 3 Palma non sine pulvere

I'm sure I'd put more up, and keep out longer if we had little ones to enjoy it. grampy, NYRturkeycall and TimberGhost 3
Doebuck1234 Posted January 2, 2024 Posted January 2, 2024 Tree came down two nights ago,now that season is over i need to take outside lights down, may do that this afternoon! grampy 1
mowin Posted January 2, 2024 Posted January 2, 2024 Everything is down.. just not quite put away properly. My bbq pit is in the garage blocking the shelf where I store the outside decorations and boxes. So for now my bbq looks very festive, lol. Next time I pull the pit out, I'll box everything up and put it away properly. Now I have to stack a ton of heating pellet in the garage. Never ending list of things to do. grampy 1
mlamm24 Posted January 2, 2024 Posted January 2, 2024 Inside down and back to normal.....I'll take the outside stuff down this week and let it dry out in the garage and it will all be away by Sunday. grampy 1
Swamp_bucks Posted January 2, 2024 Posted January 2, 2024 Mine are down before 12/31 every year. We don’t have an overly large house so it just takes up space.

I had to compromise. Usually, everything came down the day after Xmas.. but when I had it with pine needles from real trees and wanted to go artificial, I had to agree to leave everything up till the 1st. I still think I got the better end of that compromise. NYRturkeycall 1
