Getting Moose Hide Tanned

Our 4-H program recently had a cow moose hide donated from a guy in VT. The hide was salted and then frozen for about 3 years. I don't know what kind of shape it's in (right now it's triple bagged in our deep freeze). Does anyone know where I might be able to take it to have it checked out and hopefully tanned?

Wait until summer, put it under the sun and apply spf 30 liberally?

I have sent sheep fleeces to bucks County tanning in PA. I imagine the price for moose would be higher,lol.

You can send it and if it isn't worth tanning they will let you know.

This project was offered to me but I'm swamped between work, taxidermy and just life so I had to decline

I did see yours there when I went, tried to push it under the table to move my boy up a spot, but no chance...lol.... that Ryan has eyes like a hawk...lol..
