Successful shed hunting is all about timing it right... I only have one big one that dropped back in late December and think that was stress from a fighting wound. The other 5 or 6 I’m keep track of still have both sides

E J Posted January 19 Posted January 19 I got pics of either a 7 or 8 point that dropped one side last night. Earlier in the day he had both sides.

However, I do have a lot of ground to cover...including several new properties to check out. Seems like my best shed hunting seasons start off this way. I have already picked up what is no doubt going to be my find of the year so I'm just hoping I can stumble across a few sheds along the way. A couple of 60+ inchers would be nice. This cold and snow should be just the ticket to shock the bucks into survival/shedding mode. cervidchasers 1

It’s killing me to know I’ve got a 140ish set sitting out there but I don’t want to bust in there and spook the other bucks out which are all grouped up right now in a 50ish acre chunk of cover. I’ve also been out of state which is helping me stay out lol. I know I’m not going to have much time this year so going to be limited to my hunting grounds only, which sucks but cost of moving I guess
