I am not particularly big into MSR/AR/Scary Black Guns but I’ve always wanted to have ONE and set it up for deer hunting use with range use secondary. I have what is likely a very rudimentary 350 Legend build with a Plum Creek Lower and a complete Bear Creek Arsenal upper. I have put a whopping 3 rounds through it last week just to ensure it functions.

I need to figure out what optic mount to put on and looking for suggestions. I will likely use a Bushnell Trophy XLT 3-9x40 so a 1” is needed. This field is swamped with options. Assuming a one piece style cantilever but who here has what on theirs?

Some kind of cantilever mount. I'll take a pick of what I have on my 224

I have an AR cantilever vortex base that holds a Vortex Hog hunter(bought from Moog) on my 22 Nosler when its not being used for night time hunting. The red dot is great for hunting on an AR.

On my 223W I put an Athlon Midas TSR3 on top with a magnifier, its still capable or 100/150 yrd shots but makes an awesome close range or deer drive gun. Put it together for my wife since she really doesn't like scope reticles(She just needs to shoot more)

Also have a simple Weaver cantilever AR base that holds a Riton Primal 1" , that goes on the 223W

Old. Maybe you found something but I've got a vortex pro extended 30mm cantilever mount on one. They make 1" but kind of pricey. I've got an $80 Warne msr cantilever mount for the rim fire with a 3-9×40mm. No double screws for top rings but 350 doesn't have much for recoil. On another I have a sig sauer cantilever....

Basically all mine have scopes and they all have single piece cantilever mounts on them with a high of 1.5 ish inches above center bore. I wouldn't over think it but keep it simple.
