virgil Posted February 5, 2024 Posted February 5, 2024 A buddy of mine wants to give me three rifles that he has no use for- he hunts waterfowl and small game only. The guns were given to him over the years by clients and relatives. All three of them are 22's and i'm looking forward to using them to introduce my sons to shooting. He sent me some information about the guns. All look to be in good condition. My concern is that i don't want to accept them if they are highly valuable. Any advice or information regarding the value of these guns would be appreciated. 1. Remington Scoremaster, Model 511. 22 Short, Long, Long Rifle; Bolt Action; Ileon , NY 2. Mossberg, Model 540K; Bolt action; New Haven, CT 3. Winchester Model 190; R22, SL, LR, Automatic Rifle and Carbide (this is what it says on the barrel) Belo 1
Splitear Posted February 5, 2024 Posted February 5, 2024 (edited) I don't know much about the Mossberg, and cannot really find any informaiton by googling it. The others are $100-200 guns based on the couple that have sold at the auction and what I see online. They sold a Remington last year at a local auction for $160. They sold a Winchester a few months ago for $140. Now, those probably aren't retail prices, but should give you some idea. Edited February 5, 2024 by Splitear
