Progressive Democrats in the New Mexico Senate passed House Bill 129, the 7-day waiting period bill, on a 23-18 vote last night after rejecting floor amendments offered by Senate Republicans to exempt gun buyers who pass an FBI firearm background check, active military personnel, and persons who have obtained an order of protection against an abuser.
