Xmas gifts....Does your wife snoop?

Mine is brutal.

She's like a 5 yr old.  I can't leave anything in the house because she will look for it.  She will look at the online bank statement to see where I shopped, and I have to hide the receipts.  If I need to order something online, I give my sister the cash and have her order it.   If I take cash out of the account, she has a hundred questions trying to figure out where I shopped, lol.

I was out plowing all day yesterday, and during dinner, she nonchalantly asked if the stores were busy yesterday trying to catch me off guard  and slip up.

So how bad is your wife?... I highly doubt she's as bad as mine..

Mine is right there with yours.  Usually have to take 20-40 out at a time until I have enough to get her what I want then it gets stored at my parents wrapped there and stuck under the tree on Christmas Eve.  Otherwise she’s going through every single hiding spot in the house. Usually once a year I catch her questioning the kids about what I got her so usually I don’t tell them either. Tell her all the time she’s worse than the kids thought about being.

We only exchange a few things that we either need/use on daily basis, so it’s not necessarily too exciting to find these gifts.  We do get each other one, or two fun gifts that we notice each other wants during summer.  Either way, they all get wrapped, and stuck under the tree no matter how early, or close to Christmas it is.  Too simplify, no my wife doesn’t put any energy into figuring out gifts.

I haven’t bought a Christmas gift for my wife in probably 15+ years. She doesn’t buy any for me either. Lol. We just buy for the kids. And with them being 22 & 20 yrs old it is pretty much gift cards. This year they are getting a cruise in January.
I actually make out pretty good. No anniversary presents, no birthday presents. Just need to make a card for the anniversary or the wife’s birthday.

Same. We will spoil our 22 year old daughter and just get each other stocking stuffers for Christmas.

When I do buy my wife something nice, we keep separate funds so she can’t see my purchases and she will NEVER step foot in my office, so I just stick whatever it is in the office closet.

Wives, Who wants one of those seems they’d get in the way of my deer hunting.

Depends on the woman!  Mine gets irritated but not actively hostile, and less so as the kids get older.  Hell after she saw the 11 this year she was like "You should take that big 8, and this one when you get him back from Ryan and mount them on either side of the fireplace."  I got me one of those western new york gals.

As far as presents go, no she doesn't snoop.  I just ask for a list of stuff she might like or ideas and run with it.  I do try and throw in a couple surprises each year.  Like this!

During our first years together I'd buy gifts to surprise her. But they were always the wrong color, size, style or whatever. Except for diamonds and emeralds.....lol. So she'd take them back and get what she wanted. So I just started giving her the money, and she'd get it right the first time! It's been working out great for decades now.

My wife is the biggest supporter of my hunting and fishing. She's gotten me rifles and most of my expensive gear. I'm a lucky man.
