GOA Posted February 29, 2024 Posted February 29, 2024 Urge Gov. Glenn Youngkin to Veto Gun Control Dear friend, While I wish I had good news to report to you, the so-called “assault weapons” ban is now heading to Gov. Glenn Youngkin’s desk. It’s important that you call Gov. Youngkin at 804-786-2211 and urge him to veto every gun control bill that is sent to him. Here’s some of the bills that have been passed by the legislature: HB 2: Bans so-called “assault weapons” and much, much more. SB 100: A ban on 80% receivers, or home-made firearms (which have been legal since the founding of our nation). SB 273: Establishes an unconstitutional 5-day waiting period for firearms purchases. A right delayed is a right denied! SB 99: A ban on the carry of “assault weapons” in public. There are also no exceptions for going to range or moving. HB 183: Would require “safe storage” of firearms, which will lead to unnecessary deaths when seconds count and a law-abiding gun owner cannot reach his/her self-defense tool in time. It’s expected that more anti-gun legislation will be passed soon, so don’t delay. Call Gov. Youngkin at 804-786-2211 and urge vetoes on all gun control!
