Nice!  I’m not the best shot with pistols… but I’m blown away with the accuracy of my victory every time I shoot it.

I barely shoot this one (my wifes). The sights are pretty nice as well, really pop. I forgot how accurate this thing is. Shooting ragged holes with CCI green tag isn’t hard.

Mine is a great gun as well, accurate and comfortable. I did have issues with it feeding Aguila ammo (my woodsman had issues with it as well). Funny how my K-17 shot the cheap stuff all day long without complaint :) My Uncle Tom used to say if you want an automatic that won’t jam, buy a revolver.

I have a Ruger Mark 1 .22 that is in rough shape but is very accurate & fun.

Sounds like you had a fun day!

then take it apart and clean it. don't be scared. it's just a Ruger Mark series pistol. haha

i shoot centerfire and rimfire pistol competition. little maintenance and cleaning goes a long way. we shoot standard velocity ammo for NRA Precision Bullseye pistol. if plinking just recreational shooting though, it seems everyone's fix to keep it cycling is shoot high velocity ammo or even CCI Stingers or Velocitors. Yup.... don't bother cleaning it. haha

call me someone that's gone through hell for years and now have every part in my head but i'd rather not have it. the mark 4 may open up like an AR for convenience but there's a lot of extra shit in there for parts. when I overhauled my basically new mark iii, i ended up getting rid of extra stuff like that to make it more like larry's mark 1 or a mark ii. i initially replaced the trigger, sear, etc with precision volquartsen parts but then with less spring tensions contact with stock parts couldn't be overcome enough for consistent functioning. things the mag disconnect replaced with a bushing got a lot of there and now it works very well. that feature on the mark 4 does do great things for your average plinker or small game hunter.

I've disassembled my mark iii to a stripped lower grip frame no less than 30 times to customize trigger and functioning. Barrel and receiver off. All the internals trigger springs etc laying in a pile. Less ambitious approach for cleaning though. For that I remove the main spring housing, bolt, and grip frame from receiver. 15 minute job. Mines a tight fit too that requires a gunsmith's hammer. I'd clean it for you if I was closer.
