Damn thing has less rust than my 2013 F-150. Has the 351 and it runs great. Carb does not like ethanol gas so luckily the station in town has non ethanol.
Has a few minor things that need fixing other than that shes a beaut!! At some point im gonna look at a slight lift, tires and rims. Then at some point if the damn money tree ever blooms and coyote 5.0 engine swap.

Harriet Hollister Spencer.........my oh my do I have fine memories from there, some I can talk about on here, some I can't. :)

Great truck Zack.......a buddy had one a few years older than that with a three on the tree IIRC.  Could have been an F100 too?

Nice truck! It's sad how many 70s fords I killed in my early years of driving.  I too have been thinking I would like a 78-79 f150. Prices are crazy compared to what I paid back in the "day" lol..They were cheap in the late 80s /early 90s

I've had em with 302,351 w, 351m, 400m, 390,  and 300 straight 6.

Heck I had an 86 that had all those motors in its lifetime.:)

Mine’s a work truck. Sales calls on the East Coast one day, hauling our gear and a diesel tank the next. It’s the best of all worlds for me.  Has the small turbo six which is great on gas but has plenty of zip when the turbos kick in. I don’t tow much and light when I do. But I work in wetlands and it has to get fuel to our heavy equipment and get back out of the muck. Locking differentials help there. And it’s a dream on the highway and fits my crew at lunch time.  It hauls my “other work vehicle”, my quad.

Thats what my wife called it anyways.

I had casual been looking for an older F-150 like 77 or 78 on the web, fantasizing about having one. When I worked on a farm as a early teenager (pre dl) the farm had Ford trucks. I got to drive them in fields picking up loose hay/straw bales that didn’t make the wagon.  As a kid I was king of the world driving around the fields jamming classic rock with no cares in the world!
Any how Ive been scoping them out online, prices are getting crazy. One night I’m searching and I come across one on ebay and the price is right where I wanna be.

It was located in Boise Idaho and a small dealer. They had a 1000 pics and some videos so I was able to see some detailed pics and videos. It was in pretty good shape so I said what the hell let’s do it. Heck it cost less than my zero turn to put it in perspective. Wired the funds on a Friday, gave the shipper a deposit and it was delivered on Monday. Super fast process. Truck was just what I was expecting.
We have had a blast driving this thing around all summer. Got it in June so my wife calls her June.

Happy for you and glad it all worked out.  Appreciate you got very lucky  (but as the saying goes all good thing to those that wait).  PSA: Vehicles purchased online are as-is where-is.  Always go inspect the vehicle prior to purchase.  Too many horror stories of vehicles being less than they appeared online.  There is a lot that can only be seen in person.
