Took a Drive over to the Thruway Sporting Goods in Walden today. Hunting and Fishing Supplies. Hard to be Frugal in here.

I do not like the new Thruway Sports. It was one of my favorite places and it’s not what it used to be.

I liked the old place and setup better as well. So hard to get help coming your way from the 1 Man behind that long/ curving Glass counter.

Take The Multiple Use Area Challenge.

Some actual live from the woods.  Nice tom following 3 hens.

on the way home from work been seeing a flock of about 20-25 turks every afternoon and always at least one strutting hard.  Of course a bunch of Elliot Ness' , untouchable.

They are definitely getting frisky and getting the pecking order established.  Seen this flock of mostly toms and jakes with a few hens mixed in the other day when driving past one of the farms I hunt.

I won't start doing any early morning listening for a few weeks yet but I will start my daily driving/scouting trips pretty soon. I know where the birds are and am expecting a great season with a lot of longbeards on various hunting properties. Can't wait!

Same here.  The winter patterns have just started to shift to spring patterns. Nice to be in the woods, but little info to be gained on the turkeys.

I drive by a couple times a day and the activity is definitely increasing.

Last season had the strongest jake numbers that I've seen locally in years. I'm hoping that equates to an abundance of mouthy/suicidal 2 yr olds this spring!

Friggin groups of Jake's kept running off the toms last season.  Had longbeards committed  and suddenly these jakes would run in and harass him until he ran off.  Than the Jake's would hang around me looking for that hen they saved from the longbeard.  Several times I was tempted to shoot one of the jake's because they pissed me off. Lol.
