Duck Hunting with a Boykin Spaniel

Last evening I attended a meeting of the South Shore Waterfowlers Association (http://www.SSWA.org ) fellow Long Island Retriever Field Trial Club member Carl Schwenker made a presentation on duck hunting with a Boykin.  Here is link to the video

I thought long and hard about Boykins when I was researching dogs. Very good looking dogs and great hunters. They have certain advantages over labs and chessies. If I was a pure duck hunter, labs would be the way to go...but if you start to include uplands, the Boykins start looking a lot better. Ultimately I went with a Versatile dog for the pointing abilities.
